Ryatt Optometry is a friendly, independent family run practice with a commitment to providing high quality eye care and a personal service. We aim to exceed expectations in patient care and product quality, developing the highest levels of clinical care for all the family. Our friendly team is always willing to help.

The practice is accredited in the Leicestershire Cataract and Lens Implant Referral Service, and the Leicestershire and Rutland Assessment Scheme for Young Children. We are also registered with the local Primary Care Trust to provide domiciliary eye examinations to patients who are housebound.

Mr. Sarabdip Ryatt - Optometrist / Director

Mr. Ryatt qualified in optometry and visual science in 1997 with a first class degree from City University, London. In December 2008 Mr Ryatt was awarded an MSc in clinical optometry from City University London. This was achieved after 9 modular examinations and writing a research thesis. The research was undertaken at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

Sarabdip opened his Opthalmic practice in 2007. With over 20 years experience, he understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation.

His specialist interest includes diabetes and its effects on the eye as well as treatment of dry and watery eyes.

Denise - Optical Assistant

Denise - Optical Assistant

Denise is one of the Optical Assistants in our practice. She joined the team over 11 years ago, bringing in invaluable experience in customer relations. With her excellent telephone manner and friendly approach Denise provides a personal and professional service to all our patients.

Her main role is to look after our patients ensuring that their needs are met: from choosing the frames according to the facial shape, features and complexions to explaining the available lenses suitable for particular requirements. Denise also handles administration duties to make sure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.

 Laura - Optical Assistant

Laura - Optical assistant

Laura is an Optical Assistant who joined us 2 years ago. With previous experience in customer service Laura is able to deal with many of your enquiries efficiently and swiftly. She is usually complemented on her friendly and welcoming personality.

Some of her key roles are to handle and respond to correspondence, maintain patient records, schedule appointments, assist patients with choosing their frames and stock taking. Laura's diligence and commitment ensures patient satisfaction.
